WHY IS COACHING A GOOD IDEA?

Scientific studies show that coaching is a great investment. It increases life satisfaction and professional success and improves relationships.

The Journal of Positive Psychology found that coaching has positive effects on the outcomes of performance/skills, well-being, coping, work attitudes and goal-directed self-regulation.

Also, ongoing coaching is more effective than a one-time intervention. A study showed that while group training with managers increased their productivity by 22%, including a one-on-one, eight-week coaching session for the managers pushed up productivity by 88%.

Zanetta has been a tremendous resource to me as a job coach. First, she listens and understands my unique challenges. She has tremendous knowledge and expertise in every phase of getting a job from how to start, writing a resume, how to find hidden jobs, build a LinkedIn profile, interview, and follow up. Her ideas have helped me secure interviews and get hired. Finally, she is so supportive and positive because she understands looking for a job is stressful. I highly recommend Zanetta to anyone who needs help with finding a job.

"I was in an abusive relationship, unemployed, and without a place to live. Now, with Jordan's life coaching, I am employed and in a good house and I have love in my life. I am also glad to say I no longer have an addiction."

For six months, I said to myself every week, “It’s time to get a new job, so this week I’m going to write my resume!” And six months later, the closest I came was creating a duplicate copy of an old resume and leaving it open on my laptop. Maybe I was secretly hoping that it would write itself (which it didn’t). About three weeks ago, I met Jennifer at an event and she asked me one casual question about my failed attempts at a job hunt - “So, what’s stopping you?” and I realized I had NO answers. That’s when I knew that I needed help. Since then, I’ve been working with her twice a week and the progress has been amazing! I have a new resume that’s already posted online. Even more important, she helped me figure out what I wanted to do. I have been stuck waffling between multiple career paths. Without ever injecting her own opinions, Jennifer helped me figure out what I really wanted to do, and not what I felt I should want to do.

Working with Mitch helped me develop a new perspective at work and home life. He was a pleasure to work with due to his friendly and positive attitude. Mitch tailored his program to focus on areas where I needed and wanted improvement. His methods allowed me to think outside the conventional 'box' and he provided simple exercises where I learned to apply new techniques. I now find myself in a more calm, proactive, resourceful state of mind when solving issues and communicating with others. I would recommend Mitch for anyone wanting to gain a fresh perspective on how to proactively and productively manage time and tasks, and increase the development of new ideas. The benefits I have received from working with Mitch far exceed the initial investment.

I am actively working with Ellen. She is lovely and kind, an excellent listener who really wants to understand you as a person so you can reach your goals. I initially hired Ellen for some help with my resume, but went on to find her true value of helping me find the direction I want to go, to establish goals and to look at my career holistically and as part of my life, not in a silo. She is resourceful and professional to a tee. I know that we are on a journey together, and she is invested in me, which feels so good to have a partner to help navigate the path! I would recommend Ellen to anyone looking for some career insight, whether it's resume edits or help figuring out what kind of work will make you happier.

"There are several reasons why it was worth being coached, some of them are: • On the emotional aspect, the coach became a counselor/friend with whom I shared my dreams and desires, always feeling escorted by him, despite the fact that he lives in another country. • The learning process became very pragmatic. I learned a lot about creating my own long-term decision-making process and turning dreams into tangible realities. • I gained a lot of confidence in myself. One of the most important results of the process was that I got a job very quickly: in less than a month. It was not just “another job”; I actually got a great opportunity at a Brazilian multinational investment company, with the potential of long-term growth as a professional. At work some of the results were: • I could insert myself and adapt to my new workplace. In order for this to happen, it was necessary to deal with various adversities. Today I am feeling very stable and have been in my position for four months. • I got to know myself better, which allowed me to show the best of my personality and improve when necessary. Change could be measured by counting the number of conflicts that I avoid today. • I changed my way of thinking, understanding that it is not so much about "what I want", but "what is best for me." I adopted an ideology focused on achieving results, being more efficient and remaining calm. I recommend Javier Lenzner as coach for three reasons: • He has something very important, which is a huge ability to listen and understand people. It is an innate talent he has developed tremendously during his interesting life. • He is a person who despite his age has an extensive experience in the field of human relations. He traveled extensively and interacted with many people of all races and beliefs. Therefore, he is an expert and speaks about real life experiences, never inventing, and is a practical person. • He has one of the most important and essential ingredients of a coach: he's a great motivator. He spreads joy and is able to fill people of faith in themselves. In addition, to better exemplify, he has always been a "spiritual leader" to many people. The results of the coaching process are very positive and tangible. After each coaching session, you feel you have the "power" over your future. Not control, but the power of your own self, to do almost anything you want by creating a detailed plan.

Getting a Job

Getting hired can be tricky. Many people search a long time for good jobs, and encounter many hindrances along the way.

Sometimes getting a job is hard because we lack the credentials and experience hiring managers look for. In other cases, the problem comes from a flawed approach to getting hired. Anyone who has ever looked for a job and came up short knows what a challenge it can be. Struggling to find a job can cause a person to feel stressed, and put them in a tough financial spot. In order to help overcome these challenges and land a good position, some job-seekers turn to coaching.

Coaches know all the standard phases of getting a job. From finding the right position for our skill set to submitting a professional application, coaches can help with all aspects of the hiring process.

Even the interview process can be tricky, and can be a deal-breaker if handled improperly. Coaches can direct job-seekers on the best ways to lock down the positions they are after, and ensure they handle things properly from the application right down to the final interview.

Almost everyone needs a job to help them make money, occupy their time, and help others. With skilled professionals who have a background in business and hiring, anyone can improve their chances of finding a job.
