WHY IS COACHING A GOOD IDEA?

Scientific studies show that coaching is a great investment. It increases life satisfaction and professional success and improves relationships.

The Journal of Positive Psychology found that coaching has positive effects on the outcomes of performance/skills, well-being, coping, work attitudes and goal-directed self-regulation.

Also, ongoing coaching is more effective than a one-time intervention. A study showed that while group training with managers increased their productivity by 22%, including a one-on-one, eight-week coaching session for the managers pushed up productivity by 88%.

“I can’t deny that your services are invaluable. Not one person in my company was able to see our own mistakes. It does take a trusted advisor to look in from the outside and you have been that advisor. Thank you, for showing us a way to identify and correct these issues for the future.”
― W.T.H.
We strive to become better, more effective leaders. In doing so, we pore over the latest books, sit through empowerment seminars and travel vast recesses of the internet, hoping to find the wisdom, confidence and sparks of vision we’ve come to believe constitute the hallmarks of good leadership. All well and good; but amid this frenetic search we sometimes lose our way, forgetting that the journey toward authentic and meaningful leadership must also take us inward; quietly yet ever so persistently, we must do the work to discover who we are as a person before we truly can learn whom we might be as a leader. Lovingly, expertly, and on many occasions, Karah has coached others along this path of self-discovery. Many a skeptic has voiced apprehension over engaging in such personal focus. But then, and only because of Karah’s deft hand as a coach and, most importantly, genuine desire to be your friend, they have quickly realized the puissance of their own leadership potential, which they could have found through no other way than by braving self-intimacy.

Jim Cathcart is one of the most impressive people I've had the opportunity to work with. I assisted him at one of his superb presentations and it changed my life. Sounds like hype, but it's true. Among other things, our new friendship resulted in sharing authorship of a business book published by McGraw-Hill. Jim is able to craft a presentation so that, in addition to being entertaining and highly educational, it comes together with eloquent structure. All the elements of the talk are so well integrated that, at the end, the audience is often stunned by Jim's excellence on the platform. Most important, Jim is so generous with his talents and skills that anyone in his circle is destined to enjoy becoming more like him--expansive, transformative and fully life-loving.

Lynne is one of the most talented coaches I have encountered in my career. Lynne is a talented professional, high energy, engages the room. Lynn motivates others to achieve their goals and helps direct the focus. During my five year tenure at Deloitte it was my distinct pleasure to be part of Lynne's audience and to support her outstanding coaching endeavors as well. As part of the audience, I left enriched. As part of her support team I listened as others provided feedback (to me) about their extraordinary experience with Lynne's classes. Lynne is a team player and a consummate professional. I highly recommend Lynne (but only) if you want to employ an outstanding professional.
I found Greg to be very informative, motivational and professional in his approach when he delivered a session on how I could most effectively instill our company values within gocompare.com. Greg has excellent communication skills as well as the ability to encourage different ideas and approaches to various situations from his audience. I would have no reservations in recommending Greg to facilitate discussions within companies in order to enhance business results.

Executive Coaching

Becoming an executive is no easy task. Many people work and strive for years in their quest to land an executive position. Having this type of position offers many benefits. It presents a way for a worker to show off their managerial and corporate skills, helping entire organizations grow and thrive. These positions also usually provide higher pay and better benefits than jobs below the executive level.

While executive positions are lucrative, landing them is not easy. Many people turn to executive coaching to help them achieve this kind of lucrative job.

Even if a person has a great degree, plenty of work experience, and an impressive portfolio, there is usually fierce competition on the executive level. Coaches can help job-seekers understand what companies look for in executives, and how to improve their chances of getting the position they’re looking for.

Getting an executive position can sometimes mean gaining new experience, further education, or even working with a new company entirely. Coaches know that every person’s situation is unique, and their individualized approach to helping prospective-executives ensures each individual gets the right solutions for their need.

Being an executive can be rewarding, fulfilling, and lucrative. Working with a coach can improve anyone’s chances of achieving this position.
