WHY IS COACHING A GOOD IDEA?

Scientific studies show that coaching is a great investment. It increases life satisfaction and professional success and improves relationships.

The Journal of Positive Psychology found that coaching has positive effects on the outcomes of performance/skills, well-being, coping, work attitudes and goal-directed self-regulation.

Also, ongoing coaching is more effective than a one-time intervention. A study showed that while group training with managers increased their productivity by 22%, including a one-on-one, eight-week coaching session for the managers pushed up productivity by 88%.

Your team building exercise at our office was exemplary. I have a cohesive team and surprisingly the conflict within the members have disappeared. It is hearty to see the camaraderie. I expect to see great productivity this quarter. I am speaking to my HR to engage your expertise on a regular basis. Warm regards.
“With a plethora of film releases coming out in 2017 through Universal and high target results set by the board, Jack focused my efforts on delivering successful strategies to execute each movie campaign and exceed the projected targets set.”

Working with Mitch helped me develop a new perspective at work and home life. He was a pleasure to work with due to his friendly and positive attitude. Mitch tailored his program to focus on areas where I needed and wanted improvement. His methods allowed me to think outside the conventional 'box' and he provided simple exercises where I learned to apply new techniques. I now find myself in a more calm, proactive, resourceful state of mind when solving issues and communicating with others. I would recommend Mitch for anyone wanting to gain a fresh perspective on how to proactively and productively manage time and tasks, and increase the development of new ideas. The benefits I have received from working with Mitch far exceed the initial investment.

Zanetta Siciliano began coaching me for interviews...I was nervous, my voice wavered and I had no confidence. Zanetta was patient [and] encouraging, and convinced she could handle this "project." Initially, we spoke via phone about interview questions and my responses. She also helped me draft a 30-60-90 day management plan. She asked the perfect questions and simply listened to my responses. She provided constructive criticism, insisted that I tape my answers and rehearse them in the mirror. We made some progress but "this project" needed intensive help... We began practicing via video conferencing. She taped the sessions and insisted that I look at them. Before Zanetta's sessions, "this project" hated her voice and hated looking at pictures/videos of herself even more. My homework assignments required me to watch our sessions. While practicing for one spring interview Zanetta [advised me to] pretend there was a room full of people [even though] I told her there would be [only] 4/5 people in this interview. There were so many people (15/18) in the panel interview that I lost count. Somehow she knew that panel [would] consist of a room full of people. Because Zanetta knew how to calm my nerves and build my confidence, my voice no longer waivers and I tell my story with confidence. I landed a great job... I am forever thankful to Zanetta and would recommend her to anyone!

Neil Fisher Vice President - Executive Search, Accounting Finance and IT at Kingsley-Rose August 4, 2009, Lynne was senior to Neil but didn’t manage directly “Lynne single-handedly shifted the culture at Deloitte with an energy that could be felt before she entered the room. It is with undeniable confidence that I say…you and/or your organization will benefit immensely from a single interaction with Lynne.”
It was easy to communicate with Claire. Claire listened to my needs, concerns, and observations. She was punctual for our meeting time. Each meeting, we tackled different areas of organization. She was patient and flexible guiding me to find solutions, suggestions, and teaching me organizational skills not only in the physical space but also in the habits, schedules, and other personal areas. After our meetings ended, I continue with the work. My time with Claire is a good inspirational spring board. Thank you.

Improving Organizational Skills

Organizational skills are vital in many areas of life. Particularly in professional situations and for those in executive roles, these abilities are vital.

Understanding the purpose behind organizational skills and the bigger picture they play can help us perform better. However, these skills can be hard to acquire without help.

Coaches who understand the executive environment and the importance of organizational skills can be very helpful in this area. They are familiar with the challenges of maintaining an organization and know about all the roadblocks that can emerge.

Sometimes the problem is that we’re new to organizational responsibility, and must be caught up on all it entails. In other cases, a person may have moved to a new organization and found they need additional tips for honing their craft.

When we excel in our role as an organizational leader, it benefits the organization as a whole. Once every team member knows their responsibility, all resources are used optimally, and goals are pursued in a strategic manner, positive results are all but a guarantee.

Coaching can be useful for organizational leaders in all industries and all experience levels. With a trained coach who understands organizational skills, anyone can improve their abilities in this area.
