Scientific studies show that coaching is a great investment. It increases life satisfaction and professional success and improves relationships.

The Journal of Positive Psychology found that coaching has positive effects on the outcomes of performance/skills, well-being, coping, work attitudes and goal-directed self-regulation.

Also, ongoing coaching is more effective than a one-time intervention. A study showed that while group training with managers increased their productivity by 22%, including a one-on-one, eight-week coaching session for the managers pushed up productivity by 88%.

To say that I look forward to my sessions with Elisa is an understatement. I absolutely LOVE my sessions with her! Not that it’s all fun and games. We tackle the difficult stuff, but Elisa’s manner is so compassionate, her attentiveness so resolute and her ability to get to the root of the issue is remarkable. She is open, honest, incredibly intuitive and one of the kindest people I know. I ALWAYS finish my sessions with her feeling empowered and with a new sense of purpose.

Alissa helped and encouraged me to have more self confidence, better balance, and a more positive view on my life. Through working with her I realized I wanted to go back to school. I was able to feel good about myself by creating and achieving goals. I am now in school and proud to say I am making all As. I highly recommend Alissa as a life coach in whatever goal you are trying to achieve.

If you are fortunate to have Adam Mortimer as your coach, you will be very pleased!! I want to let you know how he has helped me in this coaching program in my first 5 sessions... I really looked forward to our Monday morning appointments!! Adam is incredible respectful of our time together. Adam has genuine positive energy coming to me each week!! He specifically helped me with getting rid of old repetitive negative patterns my mind entertained. I learned specific and simple steps to instantly clear those destructive patterns and clutter!! I am calmer, clearer and better educated about how much is in my control. I appreciated Adam's insight and how he really listened to me. Adam shared with me a better way to move forward to the future I desire. I look forward to the next phase of my program!! Thank you, Adam!! Your guidance and training have watered the seed within me! I believe I can achieve anything I put my mind to. I will practice the tools I've learned so far and this is just the beginning!! Peggy P

Working Through Self-Imposed Restraints

Many people work very hard at what they do, and struggle to overcome every obstacle in their way.

However, obstacles and hindrances aren’t always a bad thing. Sometimes they can help us work harder, and many people even elect to impose restraints on themselves for this purpose.

Restraints can come in the form of self-created deadlines, restrictions on available options, and even limits on the amount of people that can participate in a project. While these do hinder us in certain ways, they can also function as a catalyst for productivity and serve to benefit our progress in the long-run.

Self-imposed restraints present difficulties in the short-term, and this is where professional coaches can come in handy. Trained professionals can offer third-party input to help us work through restraints we’ve put on ourselves.

Working through self-imposed restraints can require us to push ourselves, change our thought process, and even discover creative new ways to accomplish the same goals.

The restraints may even need to be reevaluated, if they are determined to be more of a hindrance than a help. Self-imposed restrictions and limitations can be useful in some instances – for overcoming the difficulties they present, coaches are a valuable resource.

What I most appreciated about working with Lynn Saboe was her ability to listen and effectively challenge me to develop executable plans that fit my style and experience, and to implement these plans in just two months. Thanks to her support, the quality and speed of my transition was substantially enhanced.

She is also adept at listening for changes in energy levels, and celebrating when she hears a positive change.
