WHY IS COACHING A GOOD IDEA?

Scientific studies show that coaching is a great investment. It increases life satisfaction and professional success and improves relationships.

The Journal of Positive Psychology found that coaching has positive effects on the outcomes of performance/skills, well-being, coping, work attitudes and goal-directed self-regulation.

Also, ongoing coaching is more effective than a one-time intervention. A study showed that while group training with managers increased their productivity by 22%, including a one-on-one, eight-week coaching session for the managers pushed up productivity by 88%.

I couldn't seem to get on track after my divorce, and on top of that I got made redundant from my job of 12 years, Everything was a bit bleak and I didn't know where to turn. Then a friend suggested trying coaching - I was super sceptical at first and down to the last of my money but though what the heck. So I gave it a go and after a few sessions was amazed to find out things about myself I never knew. Behaviours I had been unconsciously projecting that very well may have contributed to the break down of my marriage and loss of my job. Emma is tough but kind and helps you push through it. I am now back in the working world - not quite at the level I was but its a start. And I even went on a date recently. Couldn't have imagined that happening a year ago.

"We bonded over the heart break every woman feels at the disillusionment of "happily ever after", the ending of a marriage. Her coaching style is warm, reassuring and full of compassion. There was never anything but deep love in every word in every conversation. Through her experiences, Patty knows the pain associated with divorce. And because of that she has come out the other side, full of insights and deep compassion to share with others. I am deeply grateful to Patty for all of her compassionate coaching."

I've been in counseling for a couple of years to get over a divorce. I just didn't feel like I was making any headway so I turned to a coach. I like Susan's description of growth strategist. She helped me realize how much I had already grown in the past couple of years, and that made me feel better about my counseling, but I also felt safe enough to share some fears I had about the future. I loved her ideas and how I felt when I shared my dreams for the future.

Stephanie coached me through some of the most difficult times in my life when I was going through a break-up with my previous partner. She allowed me to connect with her through all hours of the night if I needed and she was there with me every step of the way. I can never repay her for all the wonderful ways that she helped me move on with my life. She taught me how to love and honor myself along with my feelings. I will forever be a customer.

I MET NORA 3 YEARS AGO. I WAS IN THE EMOTIONAL THROES OF A DIVORCE AND FROM DAY 1, NORA WAS THERE FOR ME. She proved to be an excellent listener, and truly understood what I was going through. She let me speak, at times for long periods. I was animated; angry, and quite emotional, but never at any time did Nora judge me or try to make me a different person. On the contrary, she embraced who I was, and encouraged me to be who I am. I have always felt safe with her and as a consequence felt able to bring up absolutely anything. She is very accepting and understanding. She has always been open to discussing, or just listening to, anything that is on my mind. SHE LISTENS EXCEPTIONALLY WELL AND THROUGH HER COMPASSION AND GIFTED INSIGHTS, I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SEE THE WORLD THROUGH A NEW LENS. She sees the good in me and focuses on making my strengths even stronger. I have my fair share of weaknesses, but never at one time has Nora made me feel bad about any of these. She just accepts me for who I am. I can’t say enough about how Nora has transformed my life for the better. She has a wonderful spirit about her, a fun sense of humor and manages to keep things in perspective. She is very real, down to earth, and has the experience and coaching skills to bring a better balance to many people’s lives.

I went to Dr. Peary because I heard she was an expert on how to talk to kids about divorce. She was an awesome parenting coach. She always took the time to listen with compassion to the struggles I was having as a mother. She is the easiest person to talk to about things you think you would never tell anybody. She helped me to find my authenticate self and that has made me the great mom I am today.

Getting Through a Divorce

A divorce can be one of the hardest things anyone will ever go through.

Marriages can sometimes dissolve through no fault of the people involved. Even if both individuals in the relationship are kind, faithful, and supportive of one another, people can simply grow apart over time. When we do split from our spouse, the coping period afterwards is almost always tough.

Getting through a divorce can be even harder because the event impacts out ability to think clearly. It can be easy to let guilt and regret overcome us, and to lose confidence or willingness to move on positively with life afterwards.

Professional coaching can be helpful for managing a divorce. The emotional rollercoaster that people go through following this type of split is something professionals are familiar with. They can bring a valuable dose of clarity to the situation, providing strategies for coping with the divorce and moving on.

Getting through a divorce sometimes requires us to confront things from the past, while other times, it can require us to apply solutions in the present. In any case, it can make the future much easier to manage. Dealing with a divorce can be hard, but coaches can make it easier.

What I most appreciated about working with Lynn Saboe was her ability to listen and effectively challenge me to develop executable plans that fit my style and experience, and to implement these plans in just two months. Thanks to her support, the quality and speed of my transition was substantially enhanced.

Zsofia Juhasz is an accomplished coach, who uses powerful questions to help her client move forward. She is empathetic without being soft, she is strong without being tough. She is also adept at listening for changes in energy levels, and celebrating when she hears a positive change. Adept at using imagery to help reframe perspectives, and visualisation to create positive goals, she skillfully guides her client to the end goal. I highly recommend her services.
