Scientific studies show that coaching is a great investment. It increases life satisfaction and professional success and improves relationships.

The Journal of Positive Psychology found that coaching has positive effects on the outcomes of performance/skills, well-being, coping, work attitudes and goal-directed self-regulation.

Also, ongoing coaching is more effective than a one-time intervention. A study showed that while group training with managers increased their productivity by 22%, including a one-on-one, eight-week coaching session for the managers pushed up productivity by 88%.

Evelyn provided a number of self help techniques and tools by using time lines of my life from the earliest times that I could remember. By working one-on-one with Evelyn and following her advice with her life skills techniques, and listening to tapes she sent me I was able to become one with myself. Coping with an Illness or Disability

Sometimes a sickness or bodily disability doesn’t take a person’s life, but it can drastically impact their outlook on existence. Coping with an illness or disability can be hard for anyone. Even if the issue can be treated in some manner, adjusting to debilitating diseases or conditions is never easy.

Illnesses and disabilities may require a person to undergo uncomfortable treatments. They may lead to an individual feeling depressed, and cause disruptions in their day-to-day life. Even if the condition itself can’t be corrected, it is possible to make the coping process a bit easier.

Coaches with training in this area know how to help people adjust when physical or mental ailments have disrupted their life.

Even the most positive and optimistic person may find they need some outside assistance when a condition has impacted them to a severe degree. Coaches can suggest strategies for helping a person make the adjustments they need to move forward positively with life.

Suffering from a severe condition doesn’t mean a person can’t be productive, remain happy, and enjoy life. Those who suffer from illnesses and disabilities have a tough task in front of them. Coaches can help them cope more effectively with the situation.
