WHY IS COACHING A GOOD IDEA?

Scientific studies show that coaching is a great investment. It increases life satisfaction and professional success and improves relationships.

The Journal of Positive Psychology found that coaching has positive effects on the outcomes of performance/skills, well-being, coping, work attitudes and goal-directed self-regulation.

Also, ongoing coaching is more effective than a one-time intervention. A study showed that while group training with managers increased their productivity by 22%, including a one-on-one, eight-week coaching session for the managers pushed up productivity by 88%.

I really liked Carolina's program. It's not like anything I've done before. I kept trying on new diets and new nutritionists and this program is much more holistic and very hands on. I recommend it if you are looking to make lasting changes in your life.

I couldn't complete a diet to save my life before working with Karolina! I tried every diet under the sun and no matter what after a few days I'd have a bad day at work or have a strong craving and bam that was the end of that diet. Karolina listened to my concerns and created a tailored program not only for my goal, but with my weaknesses, and struggles in mind. She knew that I wouldn't be an easy client so she made sure to talk to me EVERYDAY for the first couple of weeks. If I slipped up she didn't make me feel ashamed or guilty. Instead, so walked through my day with me and told me where my triggers were happening that were causing me to cave into my cravings. She then worked with me to find ways of avoiding those triggers. Not all could be avoided (I had a couple of really rough days at work), but in those instances she worked through the frustrations I had and taught me how to cope in those moments since they were unavoidable. I'm proud to say I completed the Whole 30 diet and it feels amazing! Karolina was really there for me when I needed her and like a parent teach their kid to ride a bike, she slowly let go as I started to feel more in control and comfortable handling it on my own.

In 2015, I began training for my first Ironman (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run). Before then, I had done half Ironmans, long group bike rides, and countless other running races varying from 5ks to marathons. But, I had never put it all together before to go the 140.6 mile distance all in a day’s work. I decided that if I was going to commit myself to Ironman training that I wanted to do it right. I wanted to do it injury-free. I wanted to crush it. Ena’s approach to training made me realize my body’s weaknesses and build them up to prevent me from injury and make me a stronger athlete. Training with her also made me realize my body’s strengths and we celebrated them (those quads!), using them to my advantage. I continued working with Ena after Ironman, and since have completed another Ironman and a few New York City Marathons. Each time the goal is a little different – this year, we’re packing on muscle to look cut in my wedding dress. Next time – who knows? Ena’s holistic training and coaching style is appropriate for all goals. I have learned so much from her and am a more confident athlete than ever.

“Sophia is BY FAR the best coach I have ever had. Before I met her I had spent thousands and thousands on diet coaches, fitness trainers, and products…and every single one failed miserably. With her help I started eating right instantly, and for the very first time actually loved the healthy food I was eating. After two weeks of her coaching I ran my very first mile since I was in grade school. . One of the proudest moments of my life A couple weeks later I ran my first 5k, a couple after that my first 1/2 marathon. I cant convey how grateful I am for my new found health, wellness and happiness!"
― Jack J.
What can I say. Let me make it short: Tina showed me a simple but effective routine that turned my personal and professional life around. The time I hired her I was stuck in many ways. I was so overwhelmed I just couldn't move forward anymore. I have never been this determined, clear headed, productive and fit. My performance now makes me move mountains.
― Robert D.
James is an epic motivator!! His encouragement and belief in me gave me the confidence needed to achieve my goals of running my first 5k! He helped me create a system of accountability, and taught me the importance of journaling, tracking, and of self inventory.

Getting Fit

Fitness is not a goal, but rather a lifestyle. Staying in good shape requires us to understand what good health entails, and how we can alter our decisions to reach that goal efficiently.

Many people struggle with getting fit all their lives. Bad habits, stress, and even an unhealthy environment can all contribute to a lack of fitness. While there are plenty of programs out there that promise results, they don’t always work for everyone.

The simple steps like eating well, exercising, and getting plenty of rest are good pieces of advice that we all know about. Putting these steps into action and learning to overcome the things that hinder us can be much harder. This is why many people hire professional coaches to help them on the road to fitness.

Coaches who have a background in health can help us understand how our decisions and lifestyle affect our overall level of fitness. They can provide insight for helping people break bad habits and adopt good ones to change their health and refine their approach to wellness.

Fitness in the long-term requires us to commit to strategies and solutions for getting the nutrients our body needs, resisting the urge to eat bad food, and making time to exercise even when it seems impossible. With the help of a trained coach, this becomes much easier.
