At 34 years old I have achieved many accomplishments in my life, both academically and non-academically. It is these accomplishments that have helped form the person that I am today. I realized at a young age that life can be difficult and in order to be successful one must be willing to face struggles, fail multiple times, keep an open mind, and most importantly...never give up. Growing up, I was fortunate to have a few positive role models to help me through this "journey" we call life. For as long as I can remember, I have always enjoyed helping people. For the past 13 years I have been working as a special education teacher. During my tenure, I have worked with a wide range of students--each accompanied with a variety of disabilities. Working with this population has taught me a lot about people, daily struggles we each endure, and most importantly --it taught me a lot about myself. I strongly believe that each day we breathe, we must strive to become a better person than we were the day before--mentally, physically, and emotionally. It is our free will and lack of discipline that prevents us from becoming the person who we were always meant to be. Our daily routines, or lack there of, cause us to become stagnant--and in some situations may even aide in our regression. Let's take a journey together, so that years from now you can look back and pat yourself on the back for the changes you've made and realize how far you have really come. Maximize your potential, release your inner awesome! Are you ready for a change?
