WHY IS COACHING A GOOD IDEA?

Scientific studies show that coaching is a great investment. It increases life satisfaction and professional success and improves relationships.

The Journal of Positive Psychology found that coaching has positive effects on the outcomes of performance/skills, well-being, coping, work attitudes and goal-directed self-regulation.

Also, ongoing coaching is more effective than a one-time intervention. A study showed that while group training with managers increased their productivity by 22%, including a one-on-one, eight-week coaching session for the managers pushed up productivity by 88%.

Having been a teacher and principal for over 35 years, I highly recommend that secondary schools seriously consider offering Ellie Borden’s course, Strategies for Overcoming Stress and Anxiety. Ms. Borden is an outstanding coach and an excellent communicator who deals with real issues and real solutions directly in plain language. I feel very strongly that any of Ellie’s programs on self-development and self-help would be life-changers for anyone participating, from adolescents to seniors.

"At the time we began I was struggling with acute stress from making some major life transitions. I found that Morgan really helped me get focused, grounded and task oriented. She helped me prioritize what was most important to me and helped with accountability as well. I got “grounded” again. Additionally, I started accomplishing prioritized tasks in a coherent, consecutive manner. Of significance, I felt empowered to raise my rates for my coaching practice. Right now I am feeling great. I feel excited, motivated and inspired. ?One of the single best things Morgan said to me early on in our coaching was this: "Instead of focusing on what it takes to get there...focus on how you will feel when you do". This has stuck with me in a profound way."

In practice sessions I play really well. I win all the points and hit the ball at the sweet spot but the moment I land on the tennis court I feel the uneasy butterfly moments. I must have beaten this guys hundred times in practice but in a competition I am completely not me. I wouldn‘t have eaten well, I can‘t think straight, I throw away points, I don‘t hit my favorite shots and looked like an amateur. SISOSU was a miracle happen to me. I am now highly competitive. I am cool both on and off the court. I feel excited every time I step on the court to compete. I look forward to top the under 16 local tournaments soon.
I first found Josephine several years ago because I was having a very hard time managing my stress. I would have anger outbursts and took a lot out on my family. I realized that I was a people pleaser and held all my frustration inside until I finally blew. Needless to say, I have done a 180. I now know how to express myself and not let things build up. My wife can’t believe the change in me and neither can I. Thank you Josephine!

“I was overwhelmed in my business due to lack of a clear plan and my own ability to hold myself accountable. I was feeling stuck, stressed and overwhelmed. After just a few short meetings with Sandra, my entire business turned around. Sandra helped me get the clarity that I was so desperately searching for through her brilliant ability to strategize and formulate a structured plan. Having a clear view of my vision, I was able to work through the obstacles that were holding me back, and felt so much more inspired to execute my plan.”

I have had a number of niggling health problems in the last five years, which ultimately culminated in a diagnosis of hypothyroidism 18 months ago, and with that came the need for some help and direction and hope, all of which I found through Fenella’s advice, wisdom and experience. She doesn’t just look at the surface of a problem; she looks at the person as a whole. What’s more, she somehow inspires/coaxes/enables you to look at yourself and find your own answers. She is like a knowledgeable all-round guide to everything! For me, her advice started with fitness, then diet, then the impact of stress on my life and health. I have learnt so much! Ultimately though, I think the most valuable thing I have learnt from Fenella is self-belief and confidence in myself that I can get through this tough patch and have the life and health that I now see is out there for me. Thank you Fenella.

Stress Reduction Coaching

Sometimes the pressures of life can feel overwhelming, leaving people from all walks of life confused about where to turn. Stress can occur because of many factors, and is often the product of several circumstances working together. Dietary choices, sleep habits, and even genetic conditions can all cause a person to be more prone to developing high levels of stress.

External factors concerning a person’s environment can also play a major role in stress. Difficult jobs, financial struggles, and personal issues are all common causes of stress. For those who are ready to take control of this issue, stress reduction coaching can be a great option.

Dealing with stress alone can be hard, as the condition impedes our ability to think and reason clearly. Some people may overlook solutions that are right in front of them, while others may simply try to cope with their condition since there are no apparent answers.

Coaches understand the way stress can impact a person’s life, outlook, and mood. Dealing with stress sometimes involves changing the factors that make us nervous, while other times, the solution lies in learning techniques to manage life’s pressures more effectively.

Stress can diminish a person’s quality of life and even lead to physical illness. Getting help from a coach allows anyone to take back their life even in high-stress situations.
