WHY IS COACHING A GOOD IDEA?

Scientific studies show that coaching is a great investment. It increases life satisfaction and professional success and improves relationships.

The Journal of Positive Psychology found that coaching has positive effects on the outcomes of performance/skills, well-being, coping, work attitudes and goal-directed self-regulation.

Also, ongoing coaching is more effective than a one-time intervention. A study showed that while group training with managers increased their productivity by 22%, including a one-on-one, eight-week coaching session for the managers pushed up productivity by 88%.

I first found Josephine several years ago because I was having a very hard time managing my stress. I would have anger outbursts and took a lot out on my family. I realized that I was a people pleaser and held all my frustration inside until I finally blew. Needless to say, I have done a 180. I now know how to express myself and not let things build up. My wife can’t believe the change in me and neither can I. Thank you Josephine!

I lost 15 lbs in 90 days, and I'm sleeping better and less stressed overall because of Karin's program. I no longer need to wear my mouthguard at night to prevent grinding my teeth because my stress is so much better. Her simple methods, such as chewing each bite 20x has helped my digestion improve and has nearly eliminated stomach problems I suffered with for decades of my life. I wish someone would have taught me these things earlier in life. This was the easiest 15 lbs I ever lost, and I haven't even started exercising yet!

"?I had the pleasure of working with Morgan during my education with the IAWP. Upon the first conversation, I found Morgan to be gentle, soft spoken, knowledgeable, confident and kind. ? I did not have the expectation of receiving too much from our conversations at first; however, quickly she began to help me see certain aspects of my life that could improve. I had been feeling sick for quite sometime and Morgan helped me identify certain foods and exercise routines that were causing me to experience flu-like symptoms. Prior to working with Morgan, I was struggling with allowing others to control my inner peace. Through our work, I have become more aware that every situation springs from myself and what others do is a reflection of myself. Morgan told me about a mantra: "Father, I'm sorry, please forgive me, I love you, Thank you." This has helped me forgive myself for reacting to other people, and in turn, forgives them for their perceived transgressions. As a result, I am more at peace within myself. Morgan is a light in this dark world; she helped me recognize that I'm creating any turmoil in my space. Morgan is a calm, gentle and loving woman of grace. She is a beautiful, caring person who has been gifted with the ability to serve wholly and compassionately. I plan on developing an even deeper relationship with her, as I feel she is meant to be part of my soul tribe."

I really enjoy my weekly sessions with Jennifer. When I first started working with her, I was feeling frustrated by a lack of productivity and organization in my day, as well as a general sense of being overwhelmed by stress. I unloaded all of it onto her during our first call, and she took the trouble to wade through it and figure out what things needed to be addressed first. Bit by bit, she has helped me set small, actionable goals, getting into a routine that is working for me. It doesn't seem like much in the moment, but looking back over the past five weeks or so, I see that I am now doing things that I have struggled to do for years—from waking up earlier and getting more done in my day, and putting my phone away before bed, to feeling good about getting an hour's worth of chores done, and generally having a better handle on things and having more of a social life, instead of procrastinating because a task seems too huge. It's a big change for me. She's encouraged me to be more conscious about what feels right for me in my environment, and subsequently I have made changes to my routine to support that. She has helped me work through whatever setbacks I might have had during the week and helped me figure out what I can be learning from it and how to improve for the next time. While friends and family are generally supportive, the benefit of having a coach like Jennifer on your team is that she can provide an objective perspective as well as trained insights, which I really appreciate. I definitely recommend working with her! -- Yijun L

I really didn't know what to expect from a life coach but I figured it was meant to be when Aubrey came along during a time that I was feeling my worst. I was stressed, sluggish, sleep-deprived, unhealthy and just not handling any of those things well at all! Aubrey has incredible insight and is somehow able to relate to everything you discuss with her. My conversations with her always had a casual and comfortable feel and my ACTION plan for the week was always do-able and effective. Aubrey taught me that the smallest changes have the largest effects. I'm much happier and healthier now. Life still happens but, thanks to Aubrey, I now have tools to help handle it.

"I was going through a tough period in my late 20's where I was just stressed and overwhelmed in most aspects in my life. I ended up calling Kiefer as I knew he was known for keeping it cool under stressful situations and I wanted to know how to do that for myself. I felt Kiefer gave me a really good outlook on what was happening to me at that time. He helped me realise that my situation is just a temporary experience and that my life wouldn't always be like this. By holding such a safe space for me and asking me appropriate questions in my situation, I learned new ways to handle stress whilst being under pressure. A couple of months after my session with Kiefer, my life has changed significantly. I've been travelling a lot, I've released my album and I'm really happy with my new job. Having Kiefer as a Coach really changed my pattern of thinking and has made me more adaptable in being under pressure. "

Stress Reduction Coaching

Sometimes the pressures of life can feel overwhelming, leaving people from all walks of life confused about where to turn. Stress can occur because of many factors, and is often the product of several circumstances working together. Dietary choices, sleep habits, and even genetic conditions can all cause a person to be more prone to developing high levels of stress.

External factors concerning a person’s environment can also play a major role in stress. Difficult jobs, financial struggles, and personal issues are all common causes of stress. For those who are ready to take control of this issue, stress reduction coaching can be a great option.

Dealing with stress alone can be hard, as the condition impedes our ability to think and reason clearly. Some people may overlook solutions that are right in front of them, while others may simply try to cope with their condition since there are no apparent answers.

Coaches understand the way stress can impact a person’s life, outlook, and mood. Dealing with stress sometimes involves changing the factors that make us nervous, while other times, the solution lies in learning techniques to manage life’s pressures more effectively.

Stress can diminish a person’s quality of life and even lead to physical illness. Getting help from a coach allows anyone to take back their life even in high-stress situations.
