WHY IS COACHING A GOOD IDEA?

Scientific studies show that coaching is a great investment. It increases life satisfaction and professional success and improves relationships.

The Journal of Positive Psychology found that coaching has positive effects on the outcomes of performance/skills, well-being, coping, work attitudes and goal-directed self-regulation.

Also, ongoing coaching is more effective than a one-time intervention. A study showed that while group training with managers increased their productivity by 22%, including a one-on-one, eight-week coaching session for the managers pushed up productivity by 88%.

Natasha’s mindfulness coaching completely changed my stress levels and particularly my inability to sleep properly in the last 10 years! I went to her after a recommendation from my sleep and fatigue specialist as she thought I needed a holistic approach to my constant rushing about and lack of concentration. Natasha saw the root of the problem which was a constantly busy mind and as she is an academic like me she could understand what I was going through. Her approach is very much “in the moment” as she sees where I am on the day and customises her mediations and teachings based on what I really need on that specific day, “in the here and now” as she says. We started with weekly meetings and I now I only skype her once a month as I think I have learned my lesson and I have developed my own strategies to tackle stress, concentrate and be happier overall!

Kathy has been instrumental in helping me deal with my stress and anxiety. She introduced some effective techniques around my life and thinking that has helped me tremendously. I am more comfortable speaking in public places and even approaching total strangers! She is helping me with a very big life transition and I feel so grateful to have found her and connected so well with her. She is reliable, knowledgeable, proactive and full of significant insights. I would recommend her highly with any life issue you are working through.

Before I began my coaching program with Devora Gila, I was feeling stressed, frustrated, anxious, and very tired. I was very unsure how to get more work/life balance and I was drained at the end of the work day without any energy to take care of myself and family. I could not rely on anyone else to take care of my daughter and felt anxious about leaving her with a babysitter or at daycare. Then after work I didn’t have any patience to take care of her. My husband and I were barely communicating and I was feeling very distant from him. There was a lot of tension, stress, anger and frustration in our relationship. So I contacted Devora Gila for help because I was feeling too burnt out to take care of myself. I knew I would have a total meltdown and crash from exhaustion because of the pressure and stress that had built up. In our sessions I enjoyed making time for myself and giving myself an opportunity to heal, rest and reflect. After working with Devora Gila, I am kinder to myself, and as a result I am kinder to my husband, my daughter and the rest of the people in my life. I am able to recognize when I am overworking and stressing, then take pause and stop in order to try and remedy the situation. Now my daughter goes happily to day care and stays with a babysitter weekly when my husband and I go out to spend time with each other. I feel more relaxed at work and can deal with life in a more balanced way. It's good to be in a relaxed, peaceful, space. I feel that I have more time for myself and more energy.  I am so happy with the results from the coaching that I have signed up for another 6 months!

I don't usually write reviews but I feel the need to express my gratitude for Eric. I asked for guidance and he was so accurate and right about my situation. He provided guided advice and most of all helped me to feel a sense of peace in myself that I haven't felt. I am a different person today because of him. He is truly a wonderful and caring soul. Thank you Eric!

I remeber when I first started working with Chloe, I had social anxiety, depression issues and I didn't know what to do with my life. She has helped me overcome my depression and I actually stopped taking my meds. I don't have social anxiety anymore and I feel confident with myself. I also have a clear understanding of what I want to with my life (want to go into architecture and start a firm) and she's 100% responsible for helping me breakthrough. She is amazing and I highly, highly, highly recommend her

Just got off a call with Dale. At the beginning she asked what I wanted to get out of the call and I jokingly said "an epiphany, of course!". Well... I had one. ???? I was explaining that it felt like I was efforting my way through a project instead of being in creative flow. We chatted about this a bit and then I went on to talk about what impact being in creative flow has had on me in other aspects of my life and used this example from my work life to illustrate those impacts: It used to be that I would get stressed out about creating presentations when how to share and present certain information didn't immediately come to me. I'd spin about it for a while then have to go to meetings or leave to pick up the kids, etc. and then get busy with other things. I'd come back to it the next day and would come to find that I'd have an idea about how to proceed. I would repeat the process of not knowing, stressing, needing to set it aside, coming back to it and having a new idea until I finished it. Dale helped me recognize where my fresh ideas come from and in recognizing that, I stopped stressing about getting the presentations done and have accepted the process as just that: the process I go through to create the presentation. And I trust it. It always works out! As soon as I said those words, lightning struck. I realized that THIS IS THE SAME PROCESS I CAN FOLLOW FOR MY CURRENT PROJECT! I can now see that the stepping away and doing other things is how I quiet the thoughts and that's when the creative flow has room to engage so that new ideas can present themselves. And how freaking cool is that?!

Stress Reduction Coaching

Sometimes the pressures of life can feel overwhelming, leaving people from all walks of life confused about where to turn. Stress can occur because of many factors, and is often the product of several circumstances working together. Dietary choices, sleep habits, and even genetic conditions can all cause a person to be more prone to developing high levels of stress.

External factors concerning a person’s environment can also play a major role in stress. Difficult jobs, financial struggles, and personal issues are all common causes of stress. For those who are ready to take control of this issue, stress reduction coaching can be a great option.

Dealing with stress alone can be hard, as the condition impedes our ability to think and reason clearly. Some people may overlook solutions that are right in front of them, while others may simply try to cope with their condition since there are no apparent answers.

Coaches understand the way stress can impact a person’s life, outlook, and mood. Dealing with stress sometimes involves changing the factors that make us nervous, while other times, the solution lies in learning techniques to manage life’s pressures more effectively.

Stress can diminish a person’s quality of life and even lead to physical illness. Getting help from a coach allows anyone to take back their life even in high-stress situations.
